Fatalities

In 2019, Yemen Data project informed that more than 17,500 civilians were killed and injured since 2015. A quarter of these civilians killed in air raids were women and children. It is important to note that for 2020 ACLED data only shows the number of fatalities up until February and Saudi Arabia had called of air strikes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Air Raids

Human Rights Watch has documented at least 90 unlawful Saud-led coalition airstrikes. These appear to be deliberate attacks on civilians, which is a violation of war laws. There are an average of 12 attacks a day, and several children and women die in them. Again, it is important to note that the air strikes data in the chart is only available until May 2020.
